What are exercises?

What are exercises and how to utilize them to support student learning.

Exercises are an important tool for educators to assess students’ ability to comprehend and recall important information from the course. Our exercises allow flexibility for each educator to customize their quizzes to best assess and give opportunities for students to test their understanding. When creating a new quiz, you will have four options.

The most popular and easiest way to create quizzes is to generate questions from the document that you have already uploaded in the knowledge section when setting up the contextualized chatbot. Another option is to use Q&A pairs that you have already generated from your generated knowledge.

Finally, there are two different ways to upload quizzes that you have created. While you must select just one of these options at the start, when editing the quiz, you can always add your own questions from scratch, or choose one of these four options to add more questions.

When generating your own questions from scratch, you have a lot of customization options. Firstly, the question-and-answer format is very customizable from essay questions to multiple choice, or short answer responses. You can also award different point amounts for different questions. While creating questions from scratch, you can still utilize some AI abilities like generating distractors for multiple choice questions.
