You can summarize and generate question-answer pairs from websites by using URLs. It is even possible to use up to three URLs.
Here is a video demonstrating how to generate question-answer pairs from a URL.
- Go to Knowledge
- Create a module, if needed. Then click "+Add" then "Create from document"
- Click "Website Address(URL)"
- Enter your URL
- Organize your pages into sections as websites often have numerous links and advertisements. After clicking "Save and Proceed," choose the module in which you want to save the document.
- Choose between a single summary or individual summaries for each file.
- Select the desired summary length and click "Summarise".
- Take a break while Walter works its magic.
- Review the summarised document and click "Save Document".
- Save the summary to the module of your choice.
- Click "Generate Question & Answer Pairs".
- Input the number of tutoring or socratic questions you want Walter to create.
- Explore what Walter has created for you and edit them as you see fit. Remember, Walter is your TA!
- Once you're happy with the Q&A pairs click "Save to Knowledge Base".
- Select the module to save it to and click "Save and Create Flow" to link up the questions.
Now that you have successfully generated Q&A pairs from a URL, you have the option to review the automated quiz in Quizzes or create your very own quiz!
